Clifton Forge School of the Arts is for the artist in everyone, whether you want to paint a landscape, bring shape to a piece of iron or wood, or turn skeins of yarn into a beautiful garment.

Clifton Forge School of the Arts offers opportunities in the fine and applied arts to people of all ages and abilities. We offer programming in a wide variety of artistic disciplines including: drawing, painting, pottery, stained glass, fused glass, blacksmithing, woodworking, photography, jewelry-making, knit & crochet, music, and sculpture.

Clifton Forge School of the Arts is for...

...the child who wants to learn how to make music.

...the adult following a creative pursuit to make everyday life more meaningful.

...the disabled person building skills and community to help them lead a richer life.

...the family who needs safe, creative fun for their children during after-school hours.

...the artist seeking a place to share their art, their talent, and their knowledge with others.

Our ambitious fundraising goal for our Give Local campaign is $27,500.  With community support and generous donations this amount will allow us to:

1. Develop our children's programming to provide creative, dependable, activities for area children on a pay-what-you-can basis. This spring we trialed our program with a side by side class for toddlers and their family, and it has been a great success. We averaged 11 kids every other Tuesday in our first three months. During the summer we offer our Fun Fridays which provide up to 5 art experiences at no cost to families. With enough funding, we can expand to offer additional arts-focused experiences.

2. Provide scholarship funding that makes classes available to everyone. From one-time art class experiences to weekly lessons in piano and guitar, our scholarship funds help ensure that arts education is accessible to all in our community. We have a goal of raising $5,000 for the scholarship fund.

3. General support for our programming, equipment, staffing, and operational costs so we can keep our doors open, our creative energy flowing, and arts education happening in our community! With your generosity, we can make an even bigger impact. Funding goal: $27,500.
