The Clifton Forge All-Abilities Playground Project will be updating one of our current playgrounds with ADA accessible equipment, rubberized fall-safe surfacing, as well as an entirely inclusive splash pad design. The hope is to make the playground enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities. We will also be upgrading the restroom facilities by adding a family restroom with an adult-sized changing table and space to transfer to and from a mobility device in a new building that will also house the mechanical operations for the splash pad. New dedicated parking areas, fencing with child-proof gates, and updated landscaping will be addressed as well.
Mission Statement- The Clifton Forge Parks & Trails Committee is dedicated to creating and maintaining recreational spaces for the enjoyment of the Town of Clifton Forge and its surrounding communities. As a Top Adventure Town, we strive to make activities available to citizens and visitors of all ages and abilities. It is our belief that time spent outdoors enhances quality of life and strengthens the bonds of community.
